Join the translations team to help bring Maker to more languages and extend the community even further. We want our content to be as global as Dai.

Requirements

To translate Maker content you’ll need a working knowledge of

• GitHub This is where we manage the site’s content

• Markdown The site content here is written in markdown

• Google docs We’ll review your drafts and early iterations in Google docs

• Maker You’ll need to know about Maker. The community has created plenty of reading material to get you up to speed. Learn about Maker

Apply to join the team

The application helps us understand what languages you bring to the table and how to contact you. Once we have content that needs translating in a language you’re able to translate, we’ll be in touch.

Languages needed

We’re particularly after the following languages. But if you can provide translations for another language please still do send in an application.

• Spanish 🇪🇸

• Korean 🇰🇷

• Polish 🇵🇱

• Japanese 🇯🇵

• Mandarin 🇨🇳

• Italian 🇮🇹

• French 🇫🇷

Payment

You’ll earn Dai for your translation work but the amount will depend on what needs translating. You’ll be paid once your work has gone live or been pushed to GitHub repo.
